I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Child Development and Psychology at Florida State University in 2007. In May of 2010 I graduated with a Specialist's in Education degree in Mental Health Counseling (Ed.S.) as well as a Master's of Science (M.S.) degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida State University. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) in North Carolina as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) by the National Board of Certified Counselors. I am an EMDRIA EMDR Certified Therapist.
My theoretical orientations for therapy include: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I have experience working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, outpatient counseling offices, providing intensive in home counseling services as well as college counseling center experience. |
